Enrollment

Carden School of Sacramento may accept children as young as two years and nine months (2.9 and fully toilet-trained) through eighth grade, following completion of the application process. A typical application process begins with the first inquiry. The office staff provides information concerning the school and sends a tri-fold brochure to your mailing address. An appointment to tour the school may be made at this time. A typical tour takes approximately thirty minutes and a personal interview with the Director concludes the visit. If the prospective student is not present, a second interview will be required. After touring the campus and interviewing with the school Director, parents submit academic history to the Carden School office, i.e., recent Stanford Achievement Test results, progress reports, report cards, or student academic evaluations, etc. An assessment test will be scheduled, after the student's academic history is received by the Carden School office. Immunization information must be received in the Carden School office before the completion of the enrollment process. If any family has religious or personal reasons for not completing medical forms or for not immunizing the child, these must be documented in writing by law. State of California Waivers are available through the office. In the event of a major communicable disease outbreak, the non-immunized child will be asked not to attend school until the period of the outbreak is over. New students entering first through eighth grade who are accepted for the upcoming Fall session of school are required to participate in a Student Orientation class. This orientation class is informative and assists the new student in the transfer process. Completed registration forms and a signed Enrollment Contract with the proper fees paid, complete the enrollment procedures. |
