In Pre-k 3 we introduce the playnames of the consonants for letter and sound recognition. In literature we use many books to help develop perception, vocabulary and listening skills. We also read poetry from “Little Rhymes for Little People” to help the children understand and develop memory skills, rhythm and song in preparation for reading.
For are appreciation we present classical art so the children can develop strength in their eye for detail and reintroduce it to them many times to improve memory skills.
In language we introduce grammatical verses, develop independence and self-reliance.
For math we begin to understand number recognition and formatting.
We also introduce science in the study of animals and learning baby names. We study birds, insects, animals, amphibians and their habitats.
We have French and music lessons a few times a week as well.
In Pre-K 3 we focus on each individual child to help guide them in being successful in their social, emotional, physical and educational development.
