On our trip to Quebec, we went to many places in both Montreal and Quebec City. We stayed in Montreal for only one night. Then we went on a bus ride to Quebec City. In Montreal, we went to the Olympic Stadium. We were able to go to the top of the tower and see all of Montreal from the tower. I didn't like going up to the top of the tower.
In Quebec City we went to the Parliament building. It was the French Canadian equivalent to the U.S. Capital. The Parliament building is used for debates and discussions of the government. We also went to the St. Lawrence River, the Church of St. Anne, and many different churches in Old Quebec.
On the last day before we left, we went to a sugar shack on the banks of the St. Lawrence. The sugar shack grew potatoes and made maple sugar. I didn't like the maple syrup that much but the rest of the food was good. We also went on a cruise on the St. Lawrence River and to the beautiful Mt. Morency Waterfalls.
On the day before our departure, we went to a French school to associate with French students. My personal favorites out of all of the places we saw were the Church of St. Anne, and our visit to the French school.
We were shown around Quebec by a tour guide. His name was Richard. He made the trip more exciting and interesting. He lived in the city of Quebec and he knows a lot of history of Quebec and Quebec City.
The trip to Quebec was very fun and exciting. We had the chance to explore Quebec, but also had an educated guide show us Quebec and Montreal. This trip was overall exciting and educational about French and Canadian history.
