My Quebec Trip

The first day of our trip to Quebec was Monday, May 1, 2006. The first day was spent mainly in airports and in airplanes. We arrived at Montreal at 11 p.m. eastern time. The airport lost Mr. Casagrande's luggage in Chicago and he was unable to receive his luggage until the second day of our trip.

Our tour guide and bus driver was Richard. He did an excellent job informing us all about Montreal and Quebec. He picked us up at the airport and took us to the hotel.

In the morning of each day, we ate breakfast at the hotel. We then went to the Olympic Stadium. Unfortunately, the cable car was being tested that day, so we were unable to go to the top of the Olympic Stadium. Richard just took a longer time showing us the city of Montreal.

Once in Quebec for our first full day, we went to the Parliament building. We learned a little bit about Canada's government. After that, we toured the old city of Quebec. We then went "solo" and went around the old city of Quebec where we could buy souveneirs. That evening, we went to a dance on a boat on the St. Lawrence River.

The trip to Quebec was very fun and exciting. We had the chance to explore Quebec on our own, but we also had an educated guide show us around the cities of Quebec and Montreal. We even got to meet Canadian high school students. This trip was the most fun I have had in a long time.
