On the first of May the the Sixth Grade class went to Monterey. When we got there, we checked into our hotel. I was amazed to see how big the rooms were. There was a balcony and two queen sized beds that were very comfortable. Then after we settled in our rooms it was time to explore the tidepools. Exploring the tidepools was so much fun. We learned about every creature we saw like anenomes, hermit crabs, barnacles, and many other type of plants and animals. After the tidepools we ran on the beach with our feet in the ice cold water. We got back to the hotel and we swam in the heated pool. It was fun but we couldn't stay there for long because we had to eat dinner. The hotel had many restaurants within walking distance, and the class had to choose between Chinese or Mexican food. I chose Mexican and it was very delicious.
The second day we had the best continental breakfast ever. They had muffins, donuts, bagels, and the best hot chocolate. Then right after breakfast we walked to the aquarium. That was one of the best parts of our whole field trip. The fish were amazing and at the aquarium they even had a room where you were able to touch and hold different types of animals like starfish, stingrays, crabs, barnacles, and many other types of animals and plants. After exploring the aquarium we had lunch there. After the aquarium we went to the Fishermans' Wharf and went shopping in groups of two. It was very fun. Then we went back to the hotel to go swimming. After swimming we went back to the hotel to change and then we went to a sports bar and grill, and had dinner. It was delicious. We went back to the hotel and went to bed.
